Some of us may already be reading the bible daily (great - keep going!); but many of us will have either fallen out of the habit, or perhaps never developed the habit in the first place. Which is why in 2020 the whole congregation of Resurrection Church is invited to join in reading the Bible together daily over the course of the year.

The "Read Scripture" reading plan is very straightforward Bible reading plan - 3 chapters + 1 Psalm a day - with a regular (optional) video from The Bible Project to help you understand the broader context or themes of the readings. With this plan you will read the whole of the scriptures in one year. The Read Scripture app - which you can download above for Apple or Android devices - gives you the readings and videos, keeps track of your progress and can even send you a daily reminder notification to help you stay on track. If you're not a fan of apps, you can download and print the reading plan here

If you are a current member of RxC and want to commit to joining in with us in daily Bible reading this year, you might also like to join the RxC Read Scripture 2020 WhatsApp group. This WhatsApp group will be very focused and used solely to comment on, ask questions about and discuss what we are learning from the daily readings. If you would find it useful (perhaps it would be a good way to more deeply engage in your daily devotions) please join, but do not feel obliged. The point is to get reading our Bibles together - not to add to our social media distractions!

Many commenced their reading on January 1st, but you are not too late! You can still join us any time in 2020. Just download the app, go to settings, select 'Read every day' and set the start date to January 01, 2020 - then start reading at 'today's reading'.
